Supporting 512 Pixels

I’m sitting in an airport, headed back to Memphis after almost a week here on the West Coast, attending Macworld, visiting friends, writing posts and recording podcasts.

As I’ve written, the trip was incredible. I think the business connections I’ve made will reap benefits for the site and all of you handsome nerd readers.

Thankfully, a wonderful British nerd made it possible to fly around the country. I couldn’t afford the trip without Matt Alexander’s generosity.

That said, I’d like to highlight something that has been on my site for a while now, but not pointed out in a post before: a recurring membership that supports my writing directly.

It’s $6 every 3 months. Sadly, for now, it’s Paypal-only.

It’s less than other sites for two reasons:

  • I obviously know that this site is not my full-time job. There are some great writers doing this as their only gig whom I support, and you should, too. I intended my rate of $2/month to reflect that I hope you support guys like Shawn, Dave or Jim and Peter before me.
  • At this time, there isn’t a members-only podcast or content feed. However, I’m going to have promo codes and other goodies reserved for members to win in the near future.

If you don’t ever send me a dime, we can still be friends. Your attention and time spent reading this site are very valuable, and I work hard to respect that.

Thanks for reading. I’ve got a plane to catch.
