After catching up Kepler news and the Mercury transit, Jason and Stephen talk about the lifecycle of our sun. Spoiler alert: things won’t end well for Earth.

This week on Connected: I have collected all the iMacs, there’s a new shirt and things are happening with Apple Music. Pretty normal week.
My thanks to our sponsor:
We’ve got new Connected shirts for sale, just in time for WWDC:
Celebrate the completion of Stephen’s iMac hunt with this limited edition shirt, featuring your favorite international trio.
Stephen is back with an assignment for Federico and Myke, but first: changes come to Withings, auto-correct and Apple Music.

I’m really excited to announce that we’ll be doing a live Connected (along with Jason Snell and Serenity Caldwell) at WWDC this year:
On June 13 at 6 PM we will be hosting an event at 111 Minna Street in San Francisco. Come grab a drink at the bar and hang out before a live panel starts covering that morning’s news. Hosts from Connected will be joined by Serenity Caldwell and Jason Snell.
This weekend, I traveled to Atlanta to help produce Episode 200 of The Pen Addict podcast, live in front of an audience at The Atlanta Pen Show.
Obviously, the setup for this was more complicated than what we normally use to record a show like this, so I thought it would be fun to share how we did it.
Here’s a timelapse of everyone helping set the room up, courtesy of Doug Beal:
In addition to the interview I posted this morning, we spoke more about Myke’s iPad setup and Federico’s use of Telegram on this week’s Connected.

This week marks the 40th anniversary of the Apple I. It was’t a computer like the way we think of them now; it really was just a hand-built board with some accessories that users had to supply.
I recently got the chance to speak to Kristen Gallerneaux, the Curator of Communications and Information Technology at The Henry Ford Museum. Kristen and her team acquired an Apple I, which can currently be seen in the museum.
This fortnight, Jason and I talk about rockets on drone ships, visiting space via virtual reality and NASA’s next launch vehicle, the SLS.
This week on Connected, Myke shared a surprise with the rest of us, then we talk about the current state of home automation and the iMac’s place in the world.
My thanks to our sponsors this week:
This week on Connected, Federico and I talk about Apple’s new push into content, iOS 9.3 woes and the purpose of beta testing.
