The Six Colors 2017 Apple Report Card →

As he does every year, Jason Snell has asked a whole bunch of Apple watchers to provide feedback on the company’s performance for the past year.

This year, everything seems to have scored better than in 2016, except for hardware reliability, software quality and the company’s environmental and social initiatives, as Snell writes:

Judging by my panel’s responses, 2017 was something of a bounce-back year for most of Apple’s core platforms. But there was still plenty of concern to go around, especially when it came to the quality of Apple’s software.

In reading through these comments, I think a lot of the Apple community is in agreement that Apple needs to batten down the hatches on some things, especially when it comes to software bugs and the Mac. I hope that happens in 2018.
