10.7.1

It’s here, and tiny for most users — clocking in at 17 MB for most. Changes include:

  • Address an issue that may cause the system to become unresponsive when playing a video in Safari.
  • Resolve an issue that may cause system audio to stop working when using HDMI or optical audio out.

Tweetbot 1.5

Cody Fink:

Well, it’s finally here. You asked for it — you wagged your finger about it — you hate the people you follow on Twitter so much that you don’t want to hear another peep out of them, yet deep down you don’t really want to get in one of those uncomfortable, “Why did you unfollow me!?” moments. Or maybe someone’s had a little too much caffeine and you just need a break. With Tweetbot 1.5, you can mute those pesky over-tweeters and keep meme-esque hashtags from cluttering your #pantsfree timeline. Enough APPL

Dr. Drang:

It seems like every Mac-related site I visit or subscribe to is spending more time telling my how much money Apple is making and less time telling me how I can make better use of my Macs and iPhone. A little cheerleading is fine, but I don’t need to see daily stories about how Apple is dominating this sector or that. The smartphone marketshare battle with Android, for instance, has absolutely no effect on how I use my iPhone or how I live my life.

Santa Clara DA Presses Charges in Gizmodo iPhone 4 Case

CNET:

Steve Wagstaffe, the district attorney, said in an interview today that his office will file charges against Brian Hogan, the man who allegedly found the prototype in a bar after it was left there by an Apple engineer.

Neither Gizmodo nor its parent company Gawker Media have been charged with any crime, Wagstaffe said. Nor have any of Gawker Media’s employees, including the editor whose home was raided by police armed with a search warrant.
