Cruiser is a little Mac app I built to bring together your history and bookmarks across different browsers. For example, I use Safari on my iPhone and Chrome on my Mac, and having links spread across them can get annoying quickly. The app also supports Microsoft Edge.

Cruiser

Cruiser reads these files locally, which is why it needs Full Disk Access. The app shows your Safari, Chrome, and Edge bookmarks, along with the 1,000 most recent history items from each browser profile.

Search goes much further, looking through your entire browsing history and showing up to 1,000 matches per profile.

Critically, Cruiser does not write to your browsers. You can use the app to export your bookmarks (for import into another browser or for backup), but writing to these applications behind their backs proved unwise.

The app is fully notarized, and your bookmarks and history never leave your Mac. Cruiser only goes online to check for updates, and you can turn that off in Settings.

Cruiser runs on Apple silicon Macs and requires macOS 27 Golden Gate. It is free and can be downloaded here.
