Bloomberg and iFixit have teamed up to take apart every iPhone and compare them side by side. I love it.

App Camp 2020⇢
App Camp is a program close to the heart of many of us in the Apple community, and they have a new big goal:
We want to start three more camps by 2020. Three new camps means we’ll be able to bring camps to an additional 60 kids per year nationwide!
In order to accomplish that goal, we need your help. Your contribution will help us buy the MacBook Pros, iPad Pros, Apple Pencils, and iPod touches necessary to running a camp like this. It will also support the growth and development of our volunteers and give us the ability to make the curriculum we teach even better.
Amazon Announces new Kindle Oasis⇢
I’m a big fan of my Kindle Oasis. It’s my third or fourth Kindle, and I love how small and lightweight it is.
I have two main complaints: having a battery pack and cover makes it a little too fiddly, and the thing really should be waterproof.
Amazon has answered both of these with the new Kindle Oasis.
The new e-ink reader boasts a larger, 7-inch, 300-ppi display in a waterproof housing. Now, all of the battery is in the device itself, which is now aluminum, not soft-touch plastic.
Ungeniused #34: Project Pluto⇢
In 1957, the U.S. Air Force started a project to build a nuclear-powered missile that would rain down radiation and atomic bombs as it screamed overhead jut above the treetops.
This thing was terrifying.

The original Twitter client for the Mac is back. This version is all-new, thanks to a Kickstarter project that raised funds for its development. While the Mac app isn’t as full-featured as its iOS counterpart, all the basics are here in a clean looking, fast app.

Dow Jones Reports Google Purchasing Apple, Due to ‘Technical Error’⇢
The Dow Jones newswires had a ‘technical error’ which caused the portal to report several spurious stories including several headlines claiming Google was acquiring Apple for $9 billion, and that the deal was pre-arranged with Steve Jobs in his will.
Fake News!
Kbase Article of the Week: iBook, iBook (FireWire): How to find the Serial Number⇢
The serial number for these iBook models is located in the battery bay.
If the computer is on, shut down it down and close the lid.
Turn the computer over so you are looking at the battery door.
Remove the battery door. For information on how to do this, see technical document 58447, “iBook: Replacing the Battery”.
The serial number is located near the bottom edge of the battery door. See below.
Apple Ships iTunes 12.6.3, Restoring iOS App Store⇢
Apple has released iTunes 12.6.3, an update to application for those customers who still want or need access to iOS App Store:
Apple offers Volume Purchase Programs and Apple Configurator on Mac to help enterprise environments manage and mass-deploy apps on iOS devices. But certain business partners might still need to use iTunes to install apps.
If you don’t need this, iTunes 12.7 is still the version you want. Apple notes that it will not provide technical support for this version of the app, which I find kind of funny.
RSS Sponsor: Dejal Time Out for Mac⇢
You deserve a break.
It is very easy to fall into bad habits when using a computer for hours on end.
You care about what you are doing, so can sometimes push yourself too far, or over-strain yourself. Dejal Time Out is here to help. It will gently remind you to take a break on a regular basis, with flexible customization if you want it.
You can configure how long each kind of break lasts, and how much time will elapse between them. When a break starts, your screen slowly dims, and a break theme appears. When the break is complete, it fades in again.
