Apple Watch Follow-up

I closed my Apple Watch review this way:

As I said over 2,800 words ago, I’m conflicted when it comes to thinking about Apple Watch.

I’d recommend it to anyone who is strongly tied to their iPhone and is looking for something to track their fitness.

That combination is what sets Apple Watch apart from things like the much-cheaper Fitbits of the world. Having one wearable to deal with notifications, fitness and more is great, but by no means necessary.

Kbase Article of the Week: iDVD ‘08: After 99 images in a slideshow, set-top DVD player will reset to chapter 1⇢

Turns out:

In iDVD ‘08, your slideshows are no longer limited to 99 images. You can now have up to 9,801 images in a slideshow. When you are playing a slideshow on your DVD player, it will number the slides (which are chapters) from 1 to 99 and then start numbering over again at number 1 (on the one-hundredth slide). This is normal and not something you can control when you author your DVD. It is a specification that applies to all DVD players.

Introducing Relay FM membership⇢

Today’s a big day at Relay FM.

Since leaving my job this fall, one of the big projects I’ve been working on is our new membership plan.

Relay FM is home to a wide selection of shows, and now you can choose to support the hosts you love directly monthly or annually. We’ve always felt Relay was part of a bigger community, and I think this is a nice extension of that idea.

Kbase Article of the Week: iLife ‘05 cannot be installed on original iBooks⇢

Now I know I can’t install iLife ‘05 on my original iBook:

iLife ‘05 requires a computer with a display resolution of at least 1024 x 768 pixels. This means that iLife ‘05 cannot be installed on the original iBooks. The original iBooks are Blueberry, Tangerine, or Graphite in color. The iBook (FireWire) computers, which are Indigo, Key Lime, and Graphite in color, are also affected.
