Siri Tells Twelve-Year-Old How the World Really Is

The Telegraph:

Charlie Le Quesne was trying out the iPhone 4S at a Tesco store in Coventry when it told him: “Shut the f \ up, you ugly t**.”

While I’d be horrified if this happened to one of my kids, as a nerd, I have to chuckle at someone setting Siri up like this.

The fact that Tesco is sending the iPhone back to Apple for “diagnostic tests” is even more hilarious.

Cooking with ... Pulled Pork

Speaking of podcasts, Brett was kind enough to have me on as a guest for episode five of his new podcast. Here’s the description:

This week discussion ranges from tattoo inventory and selling stuff online to telling your kids that Santa doesn’t exist. Brett and Stephen recall their experiences of drinking on airplanes and Myke interrogates Stephen about the alcohol of his homeland.

RIP, CSSEdit

Watts Martin:

What a shame. I’ve used CSSEdit for years, and really like it.

The Sprint iPhone 5

Jonathan S. Geller:

I have been told that Sprint will be getting the iPhone 5 — yes the real iPhone 5, not the iPhone 4S — as an exclusive. And it will be a 4G WiMAX device. AT&T and Verizon would launch the iPhone 4S and get the iPhone 5 some time in the first quarter of next year as an LTE device. Globally, the iPhone 5 might be available as a 4G HSPA+ device.
