I’ve gotten a couple questions about the new 16-inch MacBook Pro and the LG UltraFine 5K display. The display can provide 87 watts of power, but the notebook comes with a 96 watt adaptor. Turns out, Apple has added this to the display’s product page:
This display provides host charging power to your MacBook Pro or MacBook Air. For optimal performance on the 16-inch MacBook Pro, connect to power using the MacBook Pro’s 96W adapter.
Notably, this notebook will be able to drive two ProDisplay XDRs when it ships next month.
