An Update on my Apple Hardware Calendar Kickstarter →

I’ve been hard at work this week wrapping up the photography for the calendar, and I couldn’t be happier with how the photos are turning out. I do not want to spoil the images in advance, but I will share one of my favorite new shots with you today:

I’ve also been preparing the calendar pages themselves for a (hopefully) final round of fact-checking. I’ve been back over the dates, making some changes to what I’ve decided to highlight. To that end, I’ve tallied up how many “hardware holidays” are in the project:

  • Mac: 49
  • iPhone: 10
  • iPad: 14
  • Apple Watch: 8
  • iPod: 21
  • Other: 20

Those numbers may change a little bit as I wrap things up, but the trends and patterns that emerge when you look at so many dates in Apple’s history are fun to observe. Apple really loves fall releases, ahead of its holiday quarter, but I was surprised to see how many things they’ve announced in March over the last several years, too. A few months proved to be pretty challenging when it came to decide what to highlight.

As I write this, the project has passed 1,000 backers! There are just two days left, so if you’ve been on the fence, now is the time to pledge.

Thank you all. More soon. 🧡
