NASA Launches Open Source Projects

NASA:

Today we are launching code.nasa.gov, the latest member of the open NASA web family. Through this website, we will continue, unify, and expand NASA’s open source activities. The site will serve to surface existing projects, provide a forum for discussing projects and processes, and guide internal and external groups in open development, release, and contribution.

I Just Don’t Get CES

People who have worked with — and for — me know this about me:

(Two specific threats were made that I am unable to talk about). As much as we tried, we were unable to maintain a bully-free environment. Weeks ago I had to remove the App from my daughter’s phone.

I’m using Marcelo Somers’ helpful script to keep a local copy of my Pinboard bookmarks. I don’t use ifttt.com, but having my Pinboard bookmarks as an XML file in my Dropbox sure feels good. (I’m just manually firing the curl command at this point. I’ll get around to automating it with CRON at some point.)

If you aren’t using Pinboard — or if you are, but haven’t paid for the archiving — you really are missing out on a great web service.
