This is a lot earlier than I expected, as Apple told everyone it was coming in May.

Apple Releases 10.15.4 Supplemental Update⇢
The update addresses these issues:
- Fixes an issue where Mac computers running macOS Catalina 10.15.4 could not participate in FaceTime calls with devices running iOS 9.3.6 and earlier or OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and earlier
- Resolves an issue where you may repeatedly receive a password prompt for an Office 365 account
- Fixes an issue where MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020) may hang in Setup Assistant or when disconnecting and reconnecting a 4K or 5K external display
- Resolves an issue where a USB-C port in your Mac may become unresponsive
No word on if this will fix some of the Finder issues that many users (including myself) have seen, but this is available in Software Update now.
New Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro Available for Pre-Order on Amazon
I didn’t expect this, but here they are, in both 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes.1 Amazon doesn’t list a ship date, but Apple has said the new keyboard/trackpad combo will arrive in May.
These pages show the weights of the new keyboards at 1.81 pounds (822 grams) for the small one, and a whopping 2.41 pounds (1,093 grams) for the 12.9-inch model.
If we assume that these weights include the iPads in their totals (and doesn’t include the box), the new Magic Keyboards should weigh in at:
U.S. Apple Stores Closed Until Early May⇢
I would hate to be someone with a repaired product locked up inside one of these stores.
Apple Buys Dark Sky⇢
Today we have some important and exciting news to share: Dark Sky has joined Apple.
Our goal has always been to provide the world with the best weather information possible, to help as many people as we can stay dry and safe, and to do so in a way that respects your privacy.
There is no better place to accomplish these goals than at Apple. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to reach far more people, with far more impact, than we ever could alone.
macOS 10.15.4 Showing Kernel Extension Warnings⇢
As part of macOS Catalina 10.15.4, Apple has begun displaying a new dialog window message concerning third-party kernel extensions. macOS Catalina is the last macOS to fully support the use of kernel extensions and these messages are meant to notify users of the following:
- macOS had detected that a third-party kernel extension had been loaded.
- The loaded kernel extension would be incompatible with an unspecified future version of macOS
There are some additional details on Apple’s site:

I feel pretty good about my choice to sit out this upgrade cycle.
iMac Concept Merges Pro Display XDR with Apple’s Desktop⇢
Viktor Kádár and Patrik Borgatai have put together a lovely concept design of what a future iMac could look like. I generally don’t pay much attention to this sort of thing, but their work is beautiful. While I don’t think the iMac is going to pick up the wild hinge in Apple’s $999 Pro Stand, I think the rest of this could come to pass.
