My Kickstarter campaign for a new version of my Apple History Calendar is halfway done. If you haven’t backed it yet, there are just 14 days left to do so. I’m thrilled with how it is going so far, but hope to see it pass last year’s campaign in terms of size. If you have backed it already, thank you.

The 2023 Apple History Calendar⇢
I’ve got big news today: I am launching my second Kickstarter project!
For 2023, I’ve designed a new edition, focusing on the software that powers our favorite devices. These dates cover everything from Apple’s earliest software to the latest and greatest versions of macOS, iOS, iPadsOS and more. The calendar also includes a wide range of first-party software titles from iLife and iWork to things like Cyberdog and Rhapsody.
Last Call for Shirts!⇢
If you haven’t ordered one of these beauties, time is running out! Celebrate the Lisa in style:

A New 512 Pixels T-Shirt: Local Integrated Software Architecture⇢
It’s been a couple of years since there’s been a 512 Pixels t-shirt, so I wanted to do something special this time. In looking through some materials, the Lisa jumped to mind, so here we are:

According to sources there at the time, Steve Jobs insisted that the computer’s name was not in honor of his daughter, so “Local Integrated Software Architecture” was the official line. Others joked that it meant “Let’s Invent Some Acronym.”
512 Sponsorship Openings⇢
Just a quick note that I have a handful of open weekly sponsorship spots coming up. After that, the calendar is almost booked solid for the rest of 2022. If you’re interested in sponsoring the site toward the end of April or in early May, please email me at [email protected].
Relay FM for St. Jude⇢
I am thrilled to announce Relay FM’s annual fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital!![]()
Treatments invented at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago, and St. Jude won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
Our oldest son is a brain cancer survivor, and is about to turn 13 years old. That’s thanks to the hard work of St. Jude.
Funded!
…aaaaand that’s a wrap on the campaign! It closed out at 1,164 backers and at 1015% of the original goal.
While I wait on funds to clear, I’ll be wrapping up the final touches on the calendar. I’ve got a photo or two I’m still tinkering with, and I’m having all the dates on the calendar reviewed for accuracy for a third time.
I hope to have timeline details from the printers soon, and I’ll keep everyone posted from here on out via Kickstarter.
An Update on my Apple Hardware Calendar Kickstarter⇢
I’ve been hard at work this week wrapping up the photography for the calendar, and I couldn’t be happier with how the photos are turning out. I do not want to spoil the images in advance, but I will share one of my favorite new shots with you today:

I’ve also been preparing the calendar pages themselves for a (hopefully) final round of fact-checking. I’ve been back over the dates, making some changes to what I’ve decided to highlight. To that end, I’ve tallied up how many “hardware holidays” are in the project:
One Week Left on my Calendar Kickstarter⇢
What an amazing three weeks! I’ve been hard at work polishing details and working on photos. I’ve also been focusing on the stickers for backers of the “Get It All” pledge level.
And they are amazing:![]()
The artwork is by my buddy Jelly, who also did the avatar I use on Twitter and other websites. I love the personality in the stickers, and I simply cannot pick a favorite. I can’t wait to see photos of them on other people’s laptops.
14 Days⇢
We’re halfway through the Kickstarter campaign for my 2022 Apple Hardware Calendar and I could not be more thrilled by the results so far: over 800 backers so far. If you haven’t checked it out, I would love for you to consider pledging.
My First Kickstarter: The 2022 Apple Hardware Calendar⇢
Over the last few weeks, I’ve been putting together something I am really, really proud of: The 2022 Apple Hardware Calendar.
The design of the months is really what has me excited. Instead of the usual slew of holidays, this calendar marks some important dates in Apple’s hardware history:
512 Pixels Sponsorships
A quick programming note about sponsorships here on 512 Pixels. I’ve got just three spots open left this year, and am starting to book weeks for 2021. If you have an app, product or service you’d like to share with some of the coolest people on the Internet, get in touch!
