With less than a week until my 25th birthday, there’s still time to donate to my charity: water birthday campaign!

I’ll be posting links today from sold old sites, per Shawn’s great suggestion. There will be post every hour on the half hour, starting at 9:30 AM CST.
Update #1: Charity: water Birthday
A week ago, I announced I am donating my 25th birthday to Charity: water.
I’m happy to announce that $100 has been donated to the cause — 25% of my modest $400 goal. That is enough for 5 people to have clean water. Amazing.
I’d love to meet the pledge before my birthday on January 28, so please consider donating to a great cause.
I’ll update the total weekly, so don’t worry, I’ll bug you at least two more times.
On Turning 25 and Clean Water
On January 28,1 I’ll turn 25 years old.
And I’m giving my birthday away.
I don’t need any more crap. I have way too much stuff. Instead of adding to the noise in my life, I’ve decided to donate my birthday to charity: water, the non-profit group that brings clean water to millions of people a year. My modest $400 goal will bring clean water to 20 people.
That’s a lot more important than me getting an iTunes gift card, so go donate now. I have a friend who is going to match whatever I raise, so go crazy.

‘Concise, but Dense’
Very kind, and undeserved words from Seedling. I’m humbled to be included on such a list of superstars.

Looking Back
A year ago today, I shut down this website.
Needless to say, that didn’t last.
Here’s a paragraph a friend emailed me a year ago:
I’ve just got way too much stuff, way too many gadgets, way too many computers, and spend way too much time wasting time on the Internet on things that don’t deserve time out of my life that I can’t ever get back.
My friend is still right, but closing ForkBombr was the wrong answer to my desire to simplify my life. I love writing — I need to write.
Pardon the Dust
I’m having a few issues with RSS and Twitter, so please forgive any weirdness you see this evening in the feeds. Thanks!
ForkBombr Refresh Now Live
After a couple of years with basically the same look and feel, I’m happy to announce that ForkBombr’s overhaul for 2011 is complete.
The look is now far more minimal, with more white space, slightly larger text and a revamped sidebar that should make content more easily accessible. The logo (done by my friend Carl Fox) has gotten some fresh paint and the Archives have been reworked from the ground up.
Happy Thanksgiving
I am taking a few days off to spend with my family over this holiday weekend. As you should, instead of scouring the Internet for something to read. Go unplug and enjoy some turkey and football.
The Dogcow Shrine

The official ForkBombr Dogcow Shrine is now up and running. This project has been on my to do list for months; all in took was a sick day at home to get it done. Enjoy, and please forgive the fact I did it in iWeb.
‘The Lion in Waiting’
If you have a free hour this weekend, be sure to listen to Episode 26 of the DadCast, a popular Canadian1 podcast that covers the tech world around and beyond Apple.
I joined the regular crew to talk about this week’s announcements, make some bad jokes and derail the conversation with observations about living in the South. It really was a lot of fun, and you’ll have fun listening to it.
